Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) is a nonprofit, nondenominational, evangelical Christian Organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. We are seeking for ONE qualified candidate to fill the position of Safe Migration Awareness Field Officer based in Thmar Puok ,Banteay Meanchey.
Purpose: The Field Officer for Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SP) is responsible to the SMTA Project Coordinator. The Trainer will be a cooperative member of a team of trainers who will train SMTA, livelihood and self-help lessons to women, men and youth in the villages surrounding Svey Chek with the goal of trafficking prevention. In addition the Field Officer / Trainer will be required to do general duties as required.
Responsible to: Project Coordinator and Program Manager – Thmar Puok
- Assist the Project Coordinator in implementing the program so it runs well including coming to work prepared and on time, completing assigned tasks, alerting the Project Coordinator to any problems which are blocking the program goals.
- Carry out surveys in assigned villages.
- Maintain good team communications and relationships so that the project can run well.
- Meet with village leaders and maintain good communication with the groups
- Prepare materials and lessons to teach the village women, men and youth in the groups. Each trainer is responsible for creative and well organized lessons.
- Train Livelihoods skills to beneficiaries
- Monitor and follow up the livelihood activities and self-help groups.
- Write stories and submit photos about project impact as requested.
- Develop relationships in the community which will assist with further programming, including finding village churches and community groups and developing relationships with community leaders, including women.
- Maintain organized and neatly completed forms as required (use of technology as required)
- Be experienced riding a motorbike and have a license.
- Other duties associated with implementing the project as assigned by Project Coordinator.
- Commitment to Samaritan’s Purse mission, value and policies.
- Minimum high school education
- At least one year experience in community work and community development.
- Strong community mobilization skills an d understand community development concepts
- Creative and flexible person who can work well under pressure
- Ability to read and write Khmer and English, and especially good in English comprehension
- Good in communication and interpersonal skill and Experienced in Ms. Word and Excel.
