We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Purchaser (1 Position)
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for agricultural inputs, ensuring high-quality standards and best pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, focusing on cost savings, delivery times, and payment terms.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated on pricing trends and availability of agricultural products.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure a sufficient supply of products while minimizing excess stock.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to track stock levels and order supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
- Manage reordering schedules to maintain optimal inventory for seasonal agricultural needs.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all purchased goods meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the quality control team or field managers to address any issues with purchased products.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues, such as delays or quality problems, promptly.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Work within the allocated budget and track expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising on quality.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including monthly spend analysis and supplier performance evaluations.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, and safety standards in the procurement process.
- Keep updated on changes in import/export regulations if procuring internationally.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Familiarity with agricultural supplies such as seeds, fertilizers, and equipment is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of agricultural product quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
