Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a non-profit organization, is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay to patient’s more than 2 million in 47 countries. AHF has its bureaus in four regions including Africa, Asia, Europe and America. AHF Asia Bureau, is located in Phnom Penh, is operating its activities in a number of countries in Asia such as: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and LAOS.
Currently, AHF Cambodia is seeking for a full time qualified and experienced candidate for the positions of Medical Doctor, Nurse Counselor, and Peer/Drug Educator Based in Wellness Center STI Clinic 1 (based NCHADS Clinic3) and Wellness Center STI Clinic 2 (based at NCHADS) located in Phnom Penh.
- Medical Doctor (1 Position)
- Begins the clinics on time.
- Provide STI diagnoses, and treatments of all patients
- Determines need for examinations and clinical laboratory tests and interprets examination findings and test results.
- Prescribes medication in accordance with national guideline and standard Operating Procedure on STI management
- Advises patients concerning medication, methods for prevention of disease , hygiene
- Fill routinely and properly patient record file, registration book and produce monthly report and quarterly report with team on service activities.
- Provide VIA testing and treatment using Cryotherapy machine
- Clean medical equipment
- Work in coordination with AHF STI clinic’s Team and all institution partners.
- Participate into the related-STI training, FP training, conduct case study and in collaboration with medical supervision.
- Provide other services including FP service, PrEP education and assistant consultation
- Determines need for examinations and clinical laboratory tests and interprets examination findings and test results.
- Assists counselors with disclosure of STI status to clients.
- Manages services and formulates procedures for treatment services.
- Arrange referral for patients requiring services refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
- Coordinates services with other medical activities.
- Advises on types and quantities of supplies of medicine/ other commodities/ equipment.
- Completes diagnosis forms, applications for social grants and letters for referral and employers in a timely manner.
- Review incoming reports date and follow-up in a timely manner.
- Participate in staff outreach and off-site health care programs and others AHFs’ events as requirement
- Participate in medical Staff Meeting, general Staff Meeting, and Continue Medical Education (CME) Activities
- Attended all clinic case conferences to discuss difficult patients.
- Schedules vacation or conference leave time at least one month in advance and arranges for own coverage.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Diploma of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in the area STI management or received national OI/ART, STI/FP and VCCT case management training.
- Be able to provide STI screening and treatment and other related such as VIA, FP
- A sound knowledge in the basic medical disciplines to allow for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of clinical problems.
- Knowledge of clinical protocols and procedures in the management of STI related diseases
