Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a non-profit organization, is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay to patient’s more than 2 million in 47 countries. AHF has its bureaus in four regions including Africa, Asia, Europe and America. AHF Asia Bureau, is located in Phnom Penh, is operating its activities in a number of countries in Asia such as: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and LAOS.
Currently, AHF Cambodia is seeking for a full time qualified and experienced candidate for the positions of Medical Doctor, Nurse Counselor, and Peer/Drug Educator Based in Wellness Center STI Clinic 1 (based NCHADS Clinic3) and Wellness Center STI Clinic 2 (based at NCHADS) located in Phnom Penh.
- Peer/Drug Educator (3 Positions)
- Engages and manage the clients during the visit at clinic, the partners, and others
- Provide counseling on STI to client/ youth and their partners in clinic visit / in communities
- Support those in need for solving problems
- Support clients/ their partners to access other services
- Involve in training and support community outreach activities for target population in communities and in clinic and others
- Facilitates collaboration between NGOs and community members.
- Monitoring, follow-up, and evaluation of cases
- Generate daily, monthly reports and activities plan for clinic management team
- Other tasks based on needs as requested by STI Clinic and related program.
- Work as receptionist for client registration,
- Issue patient flow sheet and record patients coming for regular consultation,
- Provide counseling and education to clients who come to clinic related to STI,
- Assist clinicians to prepare client filling system,
- Ensure client’s adherence to medications,
- Work in tracking appointment, patient follow up and drop out,
- Provide support linkage to in relation to legal help, nutritional support,
- Participate in need assessment, project development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the program including training,
- Assist rapid testing and prevention program activities and events upon request such as trainings, testing events,
- Ensure the sanitation within clinic and always keep clean,
- Conduct fast track clients for improving clinic flow and infection control.
- Facilitate STI clients referred to others service in needed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Science, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with key population such as EW/ MSM, youth, and communities, social work, counseling skills, ability to solve problems, youth activities
- Ability to communicate well with patients. Excellent customer service skills.
- Should have counseling, communication and interpersonal skills
- Should have a client focused approach and a pleasant personality
