WVS Cambodia, also known as Animal Rescue Cambodia, is a locally registered charity with the mission to create sustainable animal welfare for dogs and cats in Cambodia. We focus on 3 programs:
- Shelter/Community Clinic
- Mission Rabies Cambodia
- International Training Center (ITC)
At our shelter/community clinic, we spay/neuter 15-20 animals (mostly cats) roughly 3-5 days per week. Our veterinary team takes care of up to 30 shelter and in-patient clinic animals daily, while also providing roughly 10 consultation appointments to the community. We visit pagodas and other communities to help care for stray/community animals.
The International Training Center (ITC) is a canine spay/neuter training center at Royal University of Agriculture in Phnom Penh. It aims to train local and international veterinary students in high quality, high volume spay/neuter of dogs.
- Content Creator
- Your responsibilities will be:
- Creating content for social media, with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube – other platforms possible
- Growing these social platforms in terms of audience reach and engagement, to increase animal adoptions, donations, and community involvement
- Taking professional photos and videos of animals and our day-to-day work – impactful and emotional images that tell stories and showcase the best side of animals and our work
- Editing photos and videos in Canva or other more advanced programs, including creating a storyline, cutting, adding subtitles, transitions, music, and branding
- Engaging with our followers and responding to comments in a timely and professional manner
- Actively speaking in front of the camera, for example, during Facebook live streams
- Working closely with the international communications team to develop engaging content schedules
- Continuously researching new/updated approaches for our communication efforts
- Collecting performance data and monitoring/evaluating our social media performance
- Following relevant social media groups, reviewing posts we are tagged in and engaging with people online
- Overseeing our own social media groups
- Supporting communications for fundraising campaigns and donor updates
- Supporting design work, such as creating handouts, leaflets, information material, and more
- Supporting the overall work of WVS Cambodia with other communications-relevant tasks
- You are an ideal fit if:
- You are fluent and confident in English and Khmer.
- You have a strong eye for photography and videography and can shoot content that looks polished and professional—even in busy non-studio settings like an animal clinic.
- You are proficient in photo and video production (planning, setup, shooting, editing, publishing)
- You like to be organized and manage your equipment and content systematically.
- You have experience in visual communication, and online community management.
- You are a charming and outgoing personality, who is comfortable communicating with a variety of different people throughout the day.
- You have a keen interest in animal welfare and are very comfortable around cats and dogs.
- You can work independently with minimal supervision, providing excellent work results.
- You are committed to long-term employment.
