Chab Dai Coalition is an organization dedicated to the eradication of human trafficking and sexual abuse. As we work to eliminate modern slavery, we also continue to develop relationships with our partners and our community. Founded in 2005, “Chab Dai” means “joining hands” in the Khmer language.   • Prevention Program Manager

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of prevention strategies to reduce risks of trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.
  • Coordinate with communities, local authorities, and other stakeholders to deliver prevention activities, such as awareness, campaigns, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Ensure prevention strategies align with Chab Dai’s organizational goals and values.

Team Leadership and Capacity Building:

  • Lead and manage staff coaching/mentoring, performance management meeting by scheduling a regular catch-up meeting and performance assessment with program staff.
  • Train and mentor frontline staff, community leaders, and partners on best practices in trafficking prevention and ethical recruitment practices.
  • Foster community empowerment through education and resource-sharing.
  • Identify and address training needs for staff and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local governments, civil society organizations (CSOs), religious leaders, and community stakeholders to extend program outreach and sustainability.
  • Represent Chab Dai in external prevention-focused forums, conferences, and events to share expertise and advocate for stronger prevention efforts.
  • Strengthen collaboration with existing networks and explore opportunities for new partnerships.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

  • Measure the impact of prevention activities through regular monitoring and feedback collection.
  • Prepare detailed program reports for internal management, donors, and other stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Develop and implement tools to measure the impact of prevention activities.
  • Regularly monitor program outcomes and collect feedback from communities and stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other program managers to ensure the seamless integration of prevention efforts with protection and coalition-building activities.
  • Support organizational initiatives by contributing to shared goals, cross-sector programs, and collaborative projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure prevention activities are aligned with Chab Dai’s strategic priorities.
  • Innovation and Growth
  • Identify innovative approaches to enhance program outcomes, especially in high-risk areas.
  • Explore opportunities to scale prevention efforts through partnerships, pilot projects, or funding.
  • Stay informed about trends and challenges in trafficking prevention and incorporate evidence-based practices into the program.
  • Shared Responsibilities Across All Program Managers
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure programs are aligned with Chab Dai’s strategic goals: Survivor Restoration, Movement Building, Community Empowerment, and System Strengthening.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the Head of Operations and Head of Programs.
  • Collaboration Across Programs: Work collaboratively with other program managers to ensure programs are integrated and mutually reinforcing.
  • Donor Relations: Support fundraising efforts by preparing program updates, proposals, and impact reports.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate program teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Additional Key Roles for the Prevention Program Manager
  • Cross-Program Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Protection Program Manager to ensure a seamless transition from prevention efforts to protection services when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Coalition Program Manager to integrate prevention-related insights into coalition-building activities and collective advocacy efforts.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), to align program indicators and ensure consistent data collection and analysis across programs.
  • Strategic Input into Organizational Planning
  • Contribute to Chab Dai’s strategic planning processes by offering insights and recommendations based on prevention program outcomes and community needs.
  • Provide technical input to align prevention activities with broader organizational objectives, such as movement building, survivor restoration, and community empowerment.
  • Integrated Resource Development
  • Collaborate with the fundraising and resource development team to design program proposals and secure funding for prevention initiatives.
  • Identify and develop program opportunities that align with donor priorities while maintaining the program’s integrity and strategic focus.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Exchange
  • Lead the development of knowledge-sharing platforms for internal staff and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Facilitate cross-program capacity-building sessions to integrate prevention principles into all aspects of Chab Dai’s work.
  • Systems Strengthening and Policy Advocacy
  • Engage with national and subnational authorities to advocate for policy changes that support prevention initiatives and strengthen protective systems.
  • Work with the Protection and Coalition programs to develop recommendations for systemic improvements, particularly in areas where prevention overlaps with intervention and protection.
  • Crisis Response Support
  • Act as a key point of contact during emergency situations (e.g., trafficking cases identified in prevention activities), ensuring timely coordination with the Protection Program team and relevant authorities.
  • Strengthen prevention efforts by analyzing data from protection cases to identify emerging risks and adapt program strategies.
  • Organizational Representation and Advocacy
  • Represent Chab Dai at national, regional, and international forums related to trafficking prevention, promoting the organization’s integrated approach and strategic vision.
  • Serve as an advocate for community-driven prevention approaches in partnerships and coalitions.
  • Innovation in Prevention Models
  • Identify and pilot new prevention models that address emerging forms of trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.
  • Stay informed about trends in trafficking prevention, such as the use of technology, and integrate innovative approaches into program design.

Education and Experience

  • Master degree in social work, international development, community development, or a related field.
  • Experience at least 5 years in program management, prevention initiatives, or community development work.
  • Proven experience in training, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of community-based programs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in both Khmer and English including, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships and foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of trafficking, exploitation, and child protection issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
