Established since 1948, ChildFund Korea has been working in South Korea to protect children's rights and help children suffering from poverty and disease, and started global programs to create a World where children are happy since 1997. ChildFund Korea has become a member of ChildFund Alliance since 2002. ChildFund Alliance is a network of 11 child-focused development and humanitarian organizations working in 70 countries around the world.
ChildFund Korea focuses on advocacy activities to protect the rights of all children, strengthen welfare programs based on children’s rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of Children, actively respond to social issues, humanitarian aids, and other critical issues for children such as Education, Public Health, WASH, Climate Change, and strive to ensure children’s rights.
ChildFund Korea’s Country Office in Cambodia has been registered in foreign non-governmental organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) in July 2024, and will make a partnership agreement with KOICA in consortium with Wonders International in January 2025, in order to implement the project which is named ‘DYNAMIC (Developing Youth and Nurturing Agri-preneurship for Market Impact and Community Growth)’ for the purpose of alleviating rural poverty rate in Cambodia by promoting youth entrepreneurship in the agricultural.
We are seeking to employe a qualified candidate of following positions:
- Public Relation Officer (1 Position)
- Establish and Sustain the SNS Platform (20%)
- Create social media platforms to share agricultural startup information in Cambodia.
- Create content creation plans and strategy achieving them in collaboration with NICC
- Retrieved contents sourcing from internal employee and external partners, made and ready for posting.
- Boosting Startup's Public Interest (30%)
- Promote public interest on agricultural startup.
- Disseminate NICC news and DYNAMIC events information on social media.
- Produce promotional materials for DYNAMIC project, encompassing but not limited to leaflets, brochures, and movie clips.
- Produce and disseminate the cases story of successful startup experience.
- Startup Public Event Organizing (30%)
- Organize public event (Startup concert - TedTalk format) aiming for boosting motivation for entrepreneurship and disseminating successful startup experiences.
- Upload and boost-up speaker’s videos on YouTube
- Stakeholders Management (20%)
- Ensure that equipment of NICC media lab are fully utilized and managed for the project in collaboration with Project Officer for Capacity Building.
- Ensure the project documents complied with the regulations and guidelines of KOICA.
Requirement
- Bachelor Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication or related field with demonstration of coursework.
- Good knowledge of entrepreneurship ecosystem and youth entrepreneurship.
- Some knowledge on entrepreneurship education, agriculture, climate change, leadership, and personal development.
- Some knowledge on child protection and safeguarding, online safety.
- At least 2 years of experience in media and public relation with an international NGO or private sector in the field of enterprise or business.
- Familiarity with project management software and video/photo editing, online streaming, media lab.
- Experience in researching, writing, and editing publications.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including public and business sector, and youth.
- Proficiency in spoken and (Upper-intermediate) written English and Khmer
- Proficiency with computer software in graphic design tools (at least Photoshop and Video production software (e.g. Premiere Pro) is required)
- Ability to produce high-quality written content for various platforms, including press releases, website copy, social media posts, and reports.
- Teamwork and collaboration, and good communication
- Experience in organizing and executing public events, such as press conferences, public lecture events, or community outreach activities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and creativity
- Honesty, integrity, protocol and professional
- Teamwork with proactive action and initiatives
- Stewardship of all funds that the organization manages.
- Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and fostering innovation
