Cord is looking for an experienced Peacebuilding Specialist, Asia to play a key role in advancing peacebuilding practice across multi-country programmes.
Cord is an international non-governmental organisation (iNGO) with administrative headquarters in the United Kingdom and operations across Africa and Southeast Asia. With more than 55 years of experience in humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding work, Cord supports communities affected by conflict, exclusion, and inequality.
Cord believes people flourish when constructive relationships exist between governments, civil society, communities, and the private sector. Through dialogue, conflict resolution, and confidence-building, Cord contributes to inclusive development, stronger governance, and the realisation of rights.
The Peacebuilding Specialist will lead the delivery and implementation in Asia of a multi-country project focused on mainstreaming peacebuilding approaches within child protection programming. Working closely with consortium partners, regional and country teams, and the Multi-Country Project Officer, Asia the role will ensure the quality, coherence, and effectiveness of peacebuilding integration across project activities.
Cord acts as a technical peacebuilding partner within the consortium. The project spans Asia (Cambodia and Bangladesh), West and East Africa, and Eastern Europe. The position will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with regional travel as required.
Appointment is subject to confirmation of external funding currently in process.
