We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Duty Manager
តួនាទីនិងការទទួលខុសត្រូវ
- To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in all Front Office areas.
- To ensure proper allocation of rooms to hotel guests and upselling of rooms.
- To ensure effective communication within the Front Office and also with other operating departments to facilitate an efficient operation.
- To ensure all Front office staff's appearance, uniform, and personal cleanliness are nicely maintained to a professional.
- To ensure that all rooms assigned to VIP are checked and the respective amenities are properly prepared in rooms before guests’ arrival.
- To greet all arriving VIP/valued guests in a courteous manner and check them in efficiently.
- To coordinate with housekeeping, concierge & reception for VIP arrival and departure.
- To handle complaints and refer to individual department heads or the management for further action.
- To report all important matters that occur while on duty and record in the Duty Manager’s log book.
- To handle credit difficulty and refer to FOM / FC if necessary.
- To supervise all Front Office activities.
- To handle medical assistance requests for in-house guests.
- To report and record any irregularities and special incidents while on duty.
- Be aware of and keep records of the daily activities within the hotel, including group movements, and functions in the boardrooms.
- Be aware of the daily events to be held in the hotel and all promotional activities in the hotel.
- To assist the FOM with room assignment and control. In their absence, the Guest Service Manager will be the alternate-in-charge of the Front Office, if the AFOM is not available.
- To inspect all public areas, i.e., lobby, motor court, all exits, elevators, lighting, plants, public phones, flags, etc, and ensure the department concerned is aware of the problem encountered.
- To ensure that the bobby is kept clean and tidy at all times, and that the main entrance of the hotel is free of obstruction and traffic congestion.
- To read and follow up on all uncompleted movements in the Guest Service Manager’s logbook from the previous shift.
- To supervise and control the daily room status and room count movement.
- To handle room discrepancies and follow up with appropriate action.
- To ensure all necessary records and a proper filing system.
- To familiarize with the room availability and always upsell to achieve a higher average room rate and revenue.
- Remember to bring forward all information obtained from the morning briefing to the attention of all Front Office staff.
- To study daily booking correspondence to ensure all the arrangements that require special attention for guests are in order, such as requests on connecting rooms, fruit & liquor, high/low floor rooms, etc.
- To coordinate with the Security Department for hotel safety.
- To be familiar with the hotel emergency procedures and to ensure maximum safety of guests and employees in case of emergencies.
- To handle medical assistance requests for in-house guests.
- To handle personally any overbooked room situation by speaking to various guests that is sent out, and ensure the house SOPs are implemented. GM/FOM must be advised immediately.
- To attend the Front Office meeting in order to keep pace with the latest Management’s policies as well as give suggestions to improve the efficiency and smoothness of the Front Office.
- To check house housekeeping daily shift room status report and follow up on DND with appropriate action.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Front Office Manager.
- To oversee the total operation of the hotel overnight by ensuring a smooth and effective operation in the hotel, with efficient and courteous service provided to guests.
- To handle complaints and report all important matters that occur while on duty and record in the duty manager’s logbook.
- Check and make sure all staff are working as scheduled.
- To inspect all vacant guest rooms, public areas, all outlets, and around the hotel.
- Check lights and gas valves are turned on/off according to schedule.
- To coordinate with the security department for hotel safety and ensure that the visitor's policy is respected.
- To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the hotel with efficient and courteous service is provided to guests.
- To maintain all necessary records and proper filing system.
- To read through and verify all overnight generated reports, to ensure their accuracy.
- To run the night audit in the absence of the Night Auditor
- To make sure all required reports for FOM/ GM and other departments are properly printed and delivered as per requirement.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or management.

- At least complete a Hospitality certificate
- 2 years experience in the related field
- Be able to use MS Word, Excel, and the Internet, Email
- Good English speaking and writing, other languages are beneficial
- Self-motivation
- Be able to work under pressure
- Good at communication and interpersonal skills
