As part of our commitment to farmer success, we are seeking a talented Senior Market Linkages Offcer to join our team in Cambodia. The Senior Market Linkages Offcer will play a crucial role in connecting farmers with markets, inputs and products, thereby ensuring the proftability and sustainability of their agricultural endeavors

- Market Linkages Specialist
- Market Mapping and Analysis:
- Map the vegetable value chain and identify all key stakeholders, defne roles and opportunities, challenges, barriers.
- Build a Market linkages strategy, per geographical area with all main stakeholders including an exit strategy
- Linkage Development:
- Build strong relationships with market actors, including traders, processors, and retailers, and other key stakeholders to establish a reliable market network.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, such as agricultural cooperatives, agriculture Union, NGOs, and government agencies, to strengthen market linkages and foster cooperation.
- Build strong relationship with EWS, and continuously assess vegetable seeds market.
- Training and Capacity Building:
- Provide training and technical support to smallholder farmers on, post-harvest handling, quality assurance, and market requirements.
- Provide training and capacity building to traders, processors, and other buyers on post-harvest handling, storage, and quality control practices to ensure the preservation and marketability of farmers' produce.
- Promote the adoption of improved seed varieties and modern farming techniques to enhance product quality.
- Link stakeholders to KT online training platform to enhance their capacity and skills
- Market Access Support:
- Facilitate linkages between farmers and buyers, ensuring fair and transparent pricing.
- Assist farmers in accessing credit, logistics, and transportation services to enable timely delivery of produce to markets.
- Market Information Dissemination:
- Regularly collect, analyze, and share market intelligence with farmers, enabling them to make informed decisions about crop selection, timing, and pricing.
- Develop and implement market-oriented communication strategies, including the use of digital tools and platforms, to disseminate information to farmers effectively.
- Ensure sustainability of the communication channels after exit from the area
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish monitoring and evaluation systems to track the effectiveness of market linkage initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate timely reports on key performance indicators, market trends, and project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics, or a related feld.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in market linkage development, preferably in the agricultural sector, with a focus on Veg smallholder farmers.
- Sound knowledge of the Cambodian agricultural market landscape, value chains, and market dynamics.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and training abilities, both written and verbal, with good English.
- Ability to work independently
- Profciency in using digital tools, including MS Offce Suite and data analysis software.
- Passion for agricultural development, a genuine commitment to improving smallholder farmers' livelihoods, and a drive for results
- Be willing to be assigned in EWS-KT working areas across Cambodia.
- Able to ride a motorbike
