We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
- The DREAM Educational Vision of Enfants du Mekong
- Act as an ambassador for the DREAM vision (Develop, Responsibilize, Educate, Achieve, Mentor) internally and externally.
- Ensure the communication and promotion of this philosophy to staffs, partners, and children to guarantee total understanding and adherence.
- Support the translation of the DREAM principles into actionable strategies for Branch Managers and their staffs
- Policies and Quality Assurance
- Review existing policies and guidelines, and/or draft new ones, to improve work quality, clarity, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with key educational partners (internal and external), to leverage best practices and guide new policy development.
- Organize training or meetings to help staff understand and apply the policies and guidelines.
- Monitor how policies are used and check if they are helping improve the department’s work.
- Update documents regularly based on changes in needs, goals, or regulations.
- The 4 Branches of the Holistic Education of a Child
- Academic Training (Non-Formal Education Center)
- Ensure that all branches’ education programs align with EdM goals and spirit.
- Ensure that each branch has educational programs, curriculum, and activities responsive to national educational goals and trends, labor markets, and specific students’ needs.
- Source support documents and materials (both hard/soft copies and online resources) for students’ learning.
- Train, develop, and evaluate education managers, education staff, and teachers in pedagogical methodologies, active learning, mentoring, and counseling
- Communicate with partners and educational affairs about students’ learning and training.
- Support education managers, staff, and teachers in all branches in academic and student affairs.
- Professional Orientation and Training
- Orientation & Forum Management:
- Ensure effective and efficient implementation of orientations and forums (student counseling, career, vocational training, and university studies).
- Plan and design orientation programs to help new students understand the EdM recruitment process and criteria.
- Organize regular student forums to give students a chance to share their opinions, ask questions, and give feedback.
- Coordinate with staff and speakers to prepare useful and engaging sessions for both orientation and forums.
- Create schedules and materials (such as guides, handbooks, or presentations) for smooth delivery of programs.
- Encourage student participation and build a safe, respectful space for open communication.
- Collect feedback from students and staff to improve future forums and orientation sessions.
- Report outcomes and challenges to leadership and suggest improvements for future programs.
- Job Readiness & Soft Skills: Oversee the creation and implementation of training workshops focused on essential workplace skills, including communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and job interview preparation.
- Corporate & Market Alignment: Coordinate with company partners and Branch Managers to organize workplace visits, and ensure training content aligns with labor market demands.
- Student Progress & Growth: Monitor individual student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a safe, respectful environment that encourages active participation.
- Quality Control & Reporting: Monitor results, collect feedback from students and staff to evaluate outcomes, and report achievements and challenges for future improvements.
- Human Training
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Human Training Coordinator and Branch Managers to integrate human and professional development into EDM’s global pedagogical project.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the structuring and continuous improvement of human training modules (personal development, civic responsibility, moral ethics, debt management, digital awareness/screen time, etc.), with the existing or new partners…
- Values Transmission: Ensure the core values of Enfants du Mekong (Family Spirit, Integrity, Uprightness, Self-giving, Responsibility, and Excellence) are consistently promoted and lived within the programs.
- Managerial Mentoring: Advise and support branch managers and foyers managers in their role as mentors to guide students in their personal growth, leadership skills, and confidence building.
- General Monitoring: With the Human Training Coordinator, monitor the overall success of the human training programs and prepare strategic updates and reports
- Karol & Setha
- Act as a support point of contact and internal ambassador for the "Karol & Setha" team, ensuring their contribution is valued and integrated into the EDM culture, teams and operations in Cambodia.
- Help to foster close collaboration and fluid communication between EDM Branch Managers and the Karol & Setha team for harmonious program execution.
- Promote the programs on emotional intelligence and inner life to foster students' moral growth—focusing on self-esteem and responsibility—while integrating these themes into the global education curriculum.
- Foyer Management
- Establish and oversee the contractual framework for foyers managers, and supervise them, ensuring they provide a structured environment that balances care, discipline, and guidance for students.
- Observe and address the challenges and issues happening in foyers through targeted training or workshops for all foyers managers.
- Oversee the daily operations of the foyers to ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized living environment.
- Set and enforce rules and guidelines for student behavior, cleanliness, and responsibilities in the foyers
- Monitor student well-being and provide support for personal, health, or emotional needs.
- Make sure that the foyer Managers organize regular activities to build a strong and respectful community among students, bring support for global coordination and monitoring
- Support the foyer managers in handling issues and conflicts fairly and quickly, ensuring a peaceful and respectful living space.
- Coordination and Communication
- Actively participate as a CODIR member, communicating and collaborating with other members to improve and develop the mission with shared goals and objectives.
- Ensure effective communication with the Deputy Country Director and the Country Director to align all activities with overall EDM objectives.
- Interact with the Management team in Asnières (Headquarters in France) and respond to their needs for information and reporting.
- Manage any other ad-hoc projects assigned by the Deputy Country Director or Country Director
- Budget Management
- Prepare the budget of education align with education action plan at national level
- Assist deputy Country Director / Country Director related to education budget review of other branches.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Master's Degree is preferred
- Professional Experience or expertise: At least 5-8 years of experience in education program management, curriculum development, or social development, with demonstrated experience in a leadership or coordination role.
- Leadership & Program Management: Strong experience and interest in leadership, project management, planning, action plan development, prioritization, and people management in a collaborative way (no direct teams to lead but functional collaborations to support)
- Communication Skills: High level of interpersonal communication skills, essential for coordinating with children, staffs, Branch Managers, local partners, codir colleagues, and the Headquarters in France.
- Child Protection: Knowledge, interest, and exemplary commitment to children's rights and protection standards.
- Intercultural (French NGO present in whole Asia) and sociocultural (supporting highly poor and vulnerable populations) Understanding
- IT: Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and collaborative platforms like SharePoint/Teams.
- Languages: Very Good level (speaking-reading-writing) in English. French is a plus.
- Strategic Vision: Able to understand the global picture and define clear, prioritized actions for short-term and long-term strategic next steps.
- Commitment: Highly committed to the work and the mission of EDM
- Pedagogical Reference: Confident, and ambassador of the EDM pedagogical "DREAM" vision.
- Collaboration: Friendly, helpful, team player, honest, and cooperative with staff; willing to work with international volunteers and integrate partner.
- Empathy & Passion: Empathy and a willingness to build relationships with students and staff; a genuine passion for working with children and youth development
- Learning Mindset: Willing to share knowledge and learn new things
