The EU has a long-standing relation with Cambodia. Through substantial development assistance, support to democratic and good governance processes and a commitment to open markets, the EU has been assisting Cambodia in its efforts to build a brighter future for its population.
Landell Mills International has been contracted by the European Union Delegation to Cambodia to enhance EU relations, partnership and cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia through more effective communication and visibility of EU's principles and values, external policies and actions.
To fulfill this contract, we are seeking to recruit various non-key expert positions for part-time roles based on contracts measured in days, starting from the second quarter of 2026 and continuing through December 2027.
- Khmer - Fluent is required
- English - Fluent is required
- Professional experience in translation, copywriting, editing, or content development for 5 years as a minimum
- Proven experience translating and adapting content between English and Khmer, ensuring clarity, cultural relevance, and audience-appropriate tone.
- Demonstrated experience developing or adapting social media captions and short-form content targeting youth or Gen Z audiences.
- Strong ability to adapt tone and messaging for different formats, including social media captions, video scripts, press releases, reports, and web content.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Khmer, with strong attention to tone, clarity, and consistency.
- Demonstrated experience adapting institutional or campaign messaging into engaging and accessible language for public audiences.
- Experience collaborating with communication, content, and design teams to align written content with visual and campaign objectives.
- Strong understanding of Cambodian youth culture, digital trends, and social media language conventions.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Professional fluency in English and Khmer (written and spoken) required.
- Experience working with international organisations, development partners, media, or communication campaigns will be considered an asset.
- Experience adapting content for EU or institutional communication will be considered an asset.
- Relevance and number of years of professional experience
- Quality of bilingual writing and translation portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to produce youth-oriented and engaging social media content
- Experience with institutional or campaign communication
- Understanding of Cambodian youth and digital communication landscape
