Why Join Marici Cambodia?

Marici Cambodia is a registered NGO based in Phnom Penh working at the intersection of education, empowerment, and community development. Our Leadership Home programme provides a structured residential learning environment where young women aged 14–18 develop language skills, digital capabilities, and the personal confidence to step into leadership in their own lives.

We are building a team of dedicated educators who want more than a job — professionals who want to shape an innovative curriculum, see measurable growth in their students, and grow alongside the organisation. This role offers creative freedom, institutional support, and a career with genuine purpose.

Why Join Marici?

  • A Global Laboratory for Change: Collaborate with international experts and contribute to cross-border knowledge sharing
  • Scientific Growth: Be trained in scientific field methodologies — data collection, impact monitoring, and strategic advocacy
  • Career Advancement: Clear path into leadership as national and global programs expand

We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

តួនាទីនិងការទទួលខុសត្រូវ

  • Develop a full 12-month Digital Design & Technology curriculum with structured 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month milestones
  • Write detailed weekly and monthly lesson plans covering computer basics, graphic design, digital literacy, and project skills
  • Design a project-based progression model — every unit produces a real, student-owned creative output
  • Integrate goal-setting and self-reflection activities into the curriculum so students track their own growth
  • Develop differentiated activities for students at varying levels of digital exposure and comfort
  • Review and update curriculum each term based on student outcomes, emerging design tools, and programme feedback
  • Classroom Instruction & Student Engagement
  • Deliver daily design and technology sessions with a hands-on, student-centred approach
  • Begin from foundational computer literacy: keyboard, mouse, file management, browser use, cloud storage
  • Progress into graphic design fundamentals: layout, colour theory, typography, visual hierarchy, and image selection
  • Teach using accessible tools as primary platforms: Canva, Adobe Express, Google Workspace
  • Introduce intermediate skills as students advance: photo editing, infographic design, digital presentations, basic branding
  • Encourage creative risk-taking — foster a studio culture where experimentation is celebrated
  • Portfolio & Project Development
  • Guide each student in building a cumulative personal portfolio of design work across the year
  • Assign projects tied to real-world contexts: personal branding, social campaigns, event materials, programme publications
  • Teach students to present, describe, and defend their design choices in both Khmer and English
  • Support students in preparing a graduation design showcase or digital portfolio exhibition at the end of each cohort cycle
  • Where appropriate, involve students in producing real Marici Cambodia programme materials (flyers, certificates, newsletters)
  • Digital Literacy & Online Safety
  • Teach responsible and safe digital citizenship: online privacy, password security, recognising harmful content
  • Build skills in professional digital communication: email etiquette, Google Drive organisation, cloud collaboration
  • Introduce students to the broader digital landscape: freelance platforms, online portfolios, creative communities
  • International & Virtual Learning Support
  • Prepare students to participate in international virtual conferences, online skills workshops, and exchange webinars
  • Coach students in professional online presence: how to present their portfolio digitally, communicate via video call, and represent themselves internationally
  • Support visiting international design educators, programme partners, or specialist guest instructors
  • Contribute to digital content creation for Marici Cambodia’s international programme documentation and communications
  • Integrated Learning Collaboration
  • Co-plan and co-deliver integrated project units with the English Language Educator, combining language and design outcomes
  • Coordinate project timelines so that design and language milestones align across the 12-month cohort cycle

  • Produce written progress summaries at the 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month milestones
