We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Child Protection Project Officer
- Develop and execute monthly plan for both activity and financial, including monthly advance and settlement, accountable for budget spending for effectiveness and efficiency
- Conduct project activities monitoring, documentation all impact and outcome, success story, challenge, lesson learnt, good practice and challenge.
- Lead on youth, community volunteer and community social worker reflection with specific reflection tool, problem identification, problem solving and planning.
- Providing timely technical support and coaching on case management, positive parenting, self-protective behavior strategic to youth volunteer, community volunteer and community social worker.
- Work with district department of planning to ensure that all target communes follow the process of referral service mapping guideline, timely update and follow up on final result.
- Coordinate with DoE and support target school to ensure that they complied with the child protection policy, practice positive discipline, strengthen child protection reporting mechanism in school and community.
- Support CV to conduct home visit for tracking the progress of behavior change, coaching and provide technical support on their practice of positive parenting.
- Under support from program manager, engage child and youth to participated actively in provincial and national youth network, event or reflection.
- Provide technical support to community social workers (CSW) on case management process including, case intake, assessment, planning, monitoring, reintegration, monitoring and close.
- Assist CSW to respond case effectively when crisis, case conference, legal support and case referral for service support.
- Provide the report in English on time to Child Protection Program manager
- Implement the OEC’s child-protection and child-safeguarding policies and procedures, respond appropriately to disclosures or concerns which relate to the well-being of a child including.
- Report of concerns related to abuse or violence against children to local statutory agencies, local authorities and OEC Safeguarding’s focal point in timely manner and maintain confidential records of reported cases and action taken.
- Under support from child protection program manager, organize the advocacy event, forum district and provincial level, youth engagement, empowerment and participation.
- Facilitate with community members, CVs, CSW, parents and other key community members to update community and child data and profiles and keep them properly.
- Monitor the project sub-grant used of all target communes to ensure that all plan are implement properly, timely with high effective result include all implementation base on plan.
- Build good collaboration with ChildFund’s staff in the project implementation.
- Assume other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Skill/ Competency Requirement:
- Child Protection, Safeguarding, Prevention, Respond and Aftercare
- Case management support, basic counseling, social work
- Youth engagement, youth empowerment, advocacy, and networking
- Child protection in school policy, reporting mechanism and positive discipline, positive parenting
- Facilitation, Coordination, Project reflection, Community Small group
- Project management, project planning, implementation, monitoring and success story documentation.
- Experience and knowledge of children’s rights, child protection and UNCRC.
- Be able to develop positive working relations with local authorities and other stakeholders particularly at the community level.
- Experience working with WCCC, CCWC, local authorities, service providers and local NGOs.
- Have a strong interest in working with children and their family in the rural poor community.
Education:
- University degree in social work, community development, project management or equivalent academic qualification.
Experience:
- Three years of work experience with sub-governments, local authorities and other concerned stakeholders to promote basis children’s right in particular child protection.
- Three years of relevant professional experience in the field of child protection and children’s rights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
- Report writing in English is prefer

- The District Child Protection Officer must also be able to be committed, proactive, willing to accept changes in the workplace, respect rules and regulations, meeting deadlines and work independently and as part of a team, even under stressful conditions.
- Cooperate and support colleagues and be a good team player
- Demonstrable professional integrity and commitment, especially on children and gender issues, and say no to child abuse.
