We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Senior Project Officer for Child Protection
Roles and Duties:
- Implement and monitor project activities to ensure the project timeline, efficiency and quality from technical perspective; and take follow-up actions on identified issues, track and feedback to project officers and management team;
- Provide supportive supervision and capacity building to project officers and project stakeholders on case management, prevention, strictly follow OEC working principles, implementation plan and budget plan;
- Manage and monitor project budget plan and request for fund transfer from ChildFund Cambodia timely and accurately.
- Build good coordination with CNCC, PoSAVY, PoWA, PoE, Provincial Police.
- Develop the timely production and submission of high standard and quality periodic reports, Case study as required, to line supervisor and Childfund Filed Coordinator.
- Establish and maintain a good and productive working relationship with Donor, government and NGOs at all levels;
- Provide comments to supervisor (OEC ED) and ChildFund Field Coordinator on the impact of the relevance plans, and achievements, including recommendations for project variance;
- As a Child Protection sector focal person, file all relevant documents in safe and secure place for the audit purposes.
- Support OEC Management Team in the development of proposals, guidelines, policies and strategies;
- Support periodic data collection, case studies, engagement on end-line/evaluation, management for the technical consultants in the projects with support from supervisor and ChildFund Field Coordinator.
- Work with project officers and project assistant and others to coordinate work schedules,
- Facilitate project meeting, trainings and workshops.
- Well collaboration with relevant government key actors from National level to provide support on project implementation
- Support and mentor Community Volunteer and Youth facilitator to deliver quality trainings and provide innovative ideas for implementing the project activities.
- Ensure all training equipment (tablets, smart phones, projectors, speakers…) are kept in good order and stored in office.
- Demonstrate OEC Values in all aspects of work.
- Perform other duties as advised by line supervisor.
- Project Accounting
- Prepares budget plan; submits financial request; proceeds liquidation and reimbursement; tracks and reports financial balance on a monthly basis, or after finishing a series of activities.
- Ensures that expenditure is kept within the agreed budget or as instructed by the Country Director
- Ensures that the accounts of Project income, expenses and receipts are a true statement of financial transactions
- Determines appropriate resource recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
- Write interim financial report and Final financial report
Skill/ Competency Requirement:
- Child Protection, Safeguarding, Prevention, Respond and Aftercare
- Case management support, basic counseling, social work
- Youth engagement, youth empowerment, advocacy, and networking
- Child protection in school policy, reporting mechanism and positive discipline, positive parenting
- Facilitation, Coordination, Project reflection, Community Small group
- Project management, project planning, implementation, monitoring and success story documentation.
- Experience and knowledge of children’s rights, child protection and UNCRC.
- Be able to develop positive working relations with local authorities and other stakeholders particularly at the community level.
- Experience working with PWCCC, CCWC, local authorities, service providers and local NGOs.
- Have a strong interest in working with children and their family in the rural poor community.
Education:
- University degree in social work, community development, project management or equivalent academic qualification.
Experience:
- Three years of work experience with sub-governments, local authorities and other concerned stakeholders to promote basis children’s right in particular child protection.
- Three years of relevant professional experience in the field of child protection and children’s rights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
- Report writing in English is prefer

- The District Child Protection Officer must also be able to be committed, proactive, willing to accept changes in the workplace, respect rules and regulations, meeting deadlines and work independently and as part of a team, even under stressful conditions.
- Cooperate and support colleagues and be a good team player
- Demonstrable professional integrity and commitment, especially on children and gender issues, and say no to child abuse.
