People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-profit, non-governmental organization that has been implementing relief and development projects in crisis regions around the globe over its twenty-year history. PIN is an international, non-profit organization providing humanitarian and development assistance in over 20 countries worldwide. PIN draws on extensive past experiences and lessons learned across development, emergency and post emergency contexts to design, implement and monitor quality programming.
PIN-Cambodia began operations in the country in 2008 and providing both development assistance and humanitarian aid. PIN has implemented programs in various sectors such as health care, WASH, disaster risk reduction, green energy, urban resilience, vocational training and livelihood development. Programming is run through the head office located in the capital, Phnom Penh. Currently, PIN is actively implementing programs across three thematic areas, including early warning systems for disaster mitigation, supporting a green transition in aqua-fishery sector, and market driven vocational training.
- Technical Support:
- Support PGs in preparing and implementing Livestock Business Plans (LBPls), with a focus on business strategy, market opportunities, and investment planning.
- Conduct economic and financial analyses, including profitability, investment, and financial sustainability assessments.
- Facilitate market linkages and partnerships between PGs and value chain actors, including traders, processors, service providers, financial institutions, and agribusinesses.
- Organize business networking and stakeholder engagement events.
- Provide training and coaching to PGs on agribusiness management, financial literacy, record keeping, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
- Support the Team Leader and collaborate with the Environmental and Social Technical Expert and Provincial Livestock Business Plan Experts in preparing and implementing LBPls, ensuring compliance with E&S and community procurement provisions.
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting:
- Contribute agribusiness data, analysis, and case studies to quarterly and annual project reporting.
- Track business partnership and networking event indicators against CILVCP targets.
- Accountability and Safeguarding including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH):
- Carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct and key policies.
- Support his/her line manager in the implementation of safeguarding measures throughout the project cycle, including risk analysis related to SEAH and child protection at the project/programme level, and develop a mitigation plan accordingly.
- Attend training and awareness sessions and carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct and key policies.
- Ensure, when possible, that due diligence and/or capacity assessments of third parties include an assessment of third parties' implementation of key safeguarding and risk policies, including the prevention of SEAH.
- Strengthening Accountability on Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM):
- Promote CFRM to all partners and stakeholders
- Collect verbal feedback and complaint and confidentially handle it to CFRM Officer.
- Participate in CFRM refresher training.
- Khmer - Fluent is required
- English - Good is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Substantial experience in agribusiness development in Cambodia, including strengthening producer organizations and facilitating partnerships with market actors across livestock or agricultural value chains.
- Strong skills in financial and economic analysis, business plan development, and market facilitation.
- Experience delivering training and coaching to farmer groups or cooperatives.
- Fluency in written and spoken Khmer is required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills with private and public sector stakeholders.
