SOS Children’s Villages Cambodia (www.soscambodia.org) is a Member Association (MA) of the SOS Children’s Villages International federation, which is one of the largest non-for-profit organisations in the world dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. We are committed for safeguarding and protecting children in our programmes by having zero tolerance policy in this regard. We are currently seeking the qualified and competitive dynamic candidates to fill the following position(s) as below:
- Oversee the daily operation of the kindergarten.
- Create policies and develop curricula which conform to the state requirements.
- Ensure that the property is well-maintained.
- Schedule on-going training of teachers.
- Coordinate Kindergarten admissions and enrolment, administration and staff management.
- Contribute to a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional.
- To have an in depth knowledge of the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, with the capacity to effectively blend subject content and pedagogical approaches with school-based needs.
- Employ effective and innovative methods for the collection of pupils’ developmental data.
- Set a model of excellence in classroom practice.
- Carry out all the duties of a class teacher when necessary.
- Undertake a yearly cycle of self-evaluation and improvement planning on the delivery of the curriculum.
- Stay abreast and contribute to action research relevant to kindergarten education
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Other tasks assigned by direct supervisor or village director
- Khmer - Good
- English - Good
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Teaching
- Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs, especially EAL in early childhood / pre-primary stage.
- Experience in managing performance of staff.
- Experience or clear understanding of early childhood stage school leadership in a Cambodia curriculum setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of child development from birth to six, and its impact on behaviour and implications on play-based curriculum implementation.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, and Internet.
- Good written and spoken English and Khmer language and the ability to communication clearly and concisely.
- Good knowledge of children’s issues, children rights analysis and community involvement
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and after hour.
- Committed to the organization and has professional ethics.
- Kindness, show respect and care for me and others
- To effort to learn, understand and grow as a person, admitting mistakes when I make them.
- High sense of Child Safeguarding, look for solutions and focus on desired results.
- To show respect and care for myself and others.
- To speak up when I see things that are not right, do not hesitate to act and adapt to change when necessary.
- Displays sensitivity and adaptability to different cultures, genders, religions, races, nationalities and age groups.
- Strong motivation and ability to work and deliver under short deadline

Note: This position involves working with a not-for-profit organisation committed to children and adult safeguarding and is subject to strict safer recruitment checks. The successful candidate will be required to go through background verification checks to verify their suitability to work for SOS Children’s Villages Cambodia.
