Teuk Saat 1001 (website) is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop and maintain water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner.
The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.
Today, through a network of 1000 entrepreneurs, operating 340 stations, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, more than 1,000,000 beneficiaries, including 376,000 children.
Teuk Saat 1001 is the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Bangladesh.
Teuk Saat 1001 is planning to upgrade and revamp is network, to increase the daily production and impact in the local communities where the infrastructures are in place. We are looking for a new position to support and standardize the development and implementation of the project integrated into the local team.
- Engineer Innovation
Mission 1 : Improve the current treatment process
- Define water quality intervention protocol to solve recurrent issues
- Assess and survey equipment and technologies to solve the issues
- Support the implementation of new technologies (RO, UF, UV)
- Support the implementation to UF pilot and deployment in partnership with Veolia Foundation
- Design and define the follow-up process of the pilots
- Develop routines plan and guidelines to ensure a long term water quality follow-up
Mission 2 : Upgrade and revamp the national plan
- Participate to the design an upgrade and revamp. Plan at national level
- Define the process and the guidelines to run the implementation of the upgrade plan
- Build and create tools and methods to support the implementation of the upgrade plan
- Support the implementation of the upgrade / revamp. Plan
- Train the technician and local team to perform the upgrade / revamp plan
Mission 3 : Others
- Participate to the elaboration of ToR – Climate Risk Assessment of the water kiosks network
- Participate to the monthly technical committee
- Participate to team meeting
- Other innovation project and tasks
Professional qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the water sector, drinking water is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in technic such as plumbing, electricity and mechanic
- Minimum Bachelor or Master degree
- Fluent in English. Khmer basics is a plus
- Frequent travel to the province (50% of the time)
- Experience in expatriation or volunteer
- Interest to work with local communities and intercultural context
