Teuk Saat 1001 (website) is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop and maintain water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner.
The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.
Today, through a network of 1000 entrepreneurs, operating 340 stations, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, more than 1,000,000 beneficiaries, including 376,000 children.
Teuk Saat 1001 is the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Bangladesh.
Teuk Saat 1001 is planning to upgrade and revamp is network, to increase the daily production and impact in the local communities where the infrastructures are in place. We are looking for a new position to support and standardize the development and implementation of the project integrated into the local team.
- Lab Supervisor
Mission 1 : Management of 4 lab officer
- Supervise directly a team of 4 lab officers and interns, according to internal framework, to ensure procedures and protocols are respected and on time
- Prepare monthly work plan and conduct weekly and monthly meetings with the lab. officers
- Verify and adjust the data recorded by the lab. officers into internal app.
- Verify and validate the water quality results certificates
- Build the capacities and train the lab officers, to ensure the best performance
Mission 2 : Management of 4 laboratories
- Do on site control of each laboratories, every 2 months to ensure the maintenance of the equipment, hygiene and procedures are respected according to the SoP of the laboratories
- Control monthly reagents and consumable stocks and supply reagent and other consumables in each laboratories by preparing purchase request
- Control the procedure, protocol, and document management at the laboratories
- Conduct quality assurance and quality controls of ongoing activity including health and safety in the laboratories
- Accompany and facilitate the external client’s requests, ensure the tests are done on time and report the results accordingly
Mission 3 : Quality Control
- Implement protocols to certify operational and functional of laboratory testing services with external laboratory
- Participate to the analysis and recommendations for improving of water treatment procedures and technologies at plants
- Participate to the definition of production standards of the water treatment plants
- Lead the ISO 9001:2015 implementation, inspection, documentation, and document management.
Mission 4 : Others
- Support some research activities follow the assignation from Water Quality and Technical Manager.
- Participate to Technical committee and other relevant meetings
- Participate to the line management meeting of the organization
Professional qualifications
- Minimum of 5 year of experience worked in laboratory accredited lab ISO 9001:2015 or equivalence.
- Master or bachelor degree in chemistry, chemical, bacteriology and food science,
- Knowledge and experience in the safe drinking water sector is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both Khmer and English)
- Frequent travel to the province (50% of the time) – Battambang, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham, based in Phnom Penh
- Interest to work with local communities and NGOs
